Carlo Ancelotti is the latest victim of Real Madrid's merciless managerial merry-go-round, but Liverpool are ready to bring the Ex-Chelsea boss back to England according to Marca.

Liverpool finished the season with a 6-1 defeat at Stoke City and it looked like it could be the blow that knocks Brendan Rodgers out. Fans are calling for Rafa Benitez, but with the Spaniard seemingly destined for Real Madrid, Liverpool are looking to Ancelotti instead.

It's thought that Ancelotti may want a year off, but with AC Milan and Liverpool so keen, he may have to postpone his sabbatical. Milan are his old club and his emotional tie is such that he's said he would like to return one day. However, Marca reckon Liverpool are the ones with the power to convince Ancelotti to go straight back into management.

Ancelotti's Chelsea side were one of the highest scoring Premier League champions ever and the success in his short stint in England showed he certainly has what it takes to guide a club like Liverpool back into the top four and perhaps even to a trophy.
