According to the Independent, Liverpool target Alexandre Lacazette has handed in a transfer request at Lyon in what many see as a bid to force a move to Liverpool.

Liverpool have already bought an attacking player so far this summer, with Brazilian Roberto Firmino making the move from 1899 Hoffenheim last month. Rodgers is keen to bolster his options up front after an inability to replace Suarez's goals proved costly last season.

The talented Lacazette scored an impressive 27 in 33 for the French side last year, and is understood to be valued in the region of £28m.

Despite being under contract until 2018, L'Equipe report that Lacazette is eager to ply his trade at one of Europe's top clubs and will do whatever it takes to get there.

What do you reckon Liverpool fans? Worth the money?
