Liverpool are stepping up their efforts to sign highly rated Hoffenheim centre-back Niklas Süle, according to the Daily Mail.
Süle may be 21, but he's a man mountain - standing at 1.94m. His physical strength plays a big part in his ability as a defender, but he also seems to have an intelligent head on his shoulders.
Klopp has identified the German under-21 player as a replacement for a departing Martin Skrtel, who looks like he may be joining Turkish champions Besiktas.
Süle would join his compatriot Matip, who's agreed to join the Reds after his contract expires at Schalke. Having two players who speak the same language in centre-defence usually proves advantageous. Liverpool fans will be hoping Klopp can work some German charm on one of the most promising young centre-backs in the game.
