Tottenham's hopes of signing a striker were given a boost today, as two loan deals went through that could pave the way for them buying a forward.
Spurs looked likely to sign Moussa Dembele from Fulham over the weekend, only for the deal to collapse over the North Londoners' refusal to loan the youngster back to the Championship strugglers.
However, Tottenham's hopes of resurrecting the deal increased today, as Fulham announced the loan signing of the Sporting Lisbon striker Zakaria Labyad.
If that wasn't enough, Spurs have loaned their midfielder Alex Pritchard to West Brom. The Premier League clubs fell out with over the summer due to Tottenham's pursuit of Saido Berahino, but this could be the first step in re-establishing a more cordial relationship.
Could Spurs be in a position tonight to finally be able to give Harry Kane a rest?
