Olivier Giroud's form has been impressive this season for Arsenal, no doubt about it; his selfless forward play has allowed the likes of Ramsey, Ozil et al to shine whilst also chipping in with a few goals himself.
However, there's another Frenchman in the Premier League who Arsene Wenger covets, according to Caught Offside; Newcastle's Loic Remy, on loan from QPR. The striker has thrived in England since arriving at Loftus Road last January, scoring a variety of wonder-strikes that have won him many admirers, even if he couldn't keep QPR in the top flight.
Although Giroud has improved this season, Remy offers a superior goal threat which may see Arsene Wenger stump up the £12m required to pluck him from promotion-chasing QPR next summer. If Remy keeps up his current rate of scoring, he should have 20 goals in the Premier League at the end of the season - a benchmark for a truly top-class striker.
We've all seen his goals in the Prem, but what Arsenal fans may not have seen is some of his incredible goals in France's Ligue 1, whilst playing for Marseilles. Check out this video which illustrates just why Wenger is so eager to sign the French goal-machine.
