Man United Make Last-Ditch Attempt To Hijack Chelsea Deal

Begovic to replace De Gea? Possibly.

Hugo Lloris has long been the rumoured target for Man United as a replacement for David De Gea, but they have this week been linked with a new name which will put Chelsea's nose out of joint.

Stoke’s Asmir Begovic had looked certain to join Chelsea to replace Petr Cech as their number two keeper, only for the Manchester giants to make a late bid with the news that Iker Casillas is nearing a move to Porto, almost certainly opening the doors for De Gea to make a return to Spain.

If you've managed not to go cross eyed yet, well done.

It's understood that Begovic has been included in Stoke's squad for their pre-season tour of Singapore, meaning no deal with Chelsea has so far been finalised.

If United are serious then a move to Old Trafford could well prove more appealing than sitting on the bench at Chelsea.

Is he good enough United fans? Watch the man in action and decide.
