Man United: Why You Should Beat Liverpool For Ukraine Ace

Liverpool's pursuit of Yehven Konoplyanka in January was a bit of a joke, wasn't it? A fee had been agreed with Dnipro, and the player was ready to join, but the club's owner didn't want the move to go through and simply refused to sign the paperwork.

That hasn't put Liverpool off though, and they're expected to go back in for the winger this summer. However, they may face competition for him for Man United this time, according to the Mirror.

Other than Adnan Januzaj, United's wingers all had pretty poor seasons this year, and the club are looking to improve their options to make sure they have a better season this time round. The club's scouts have watched the Ukrainian star several times, and no doubt will have been impressed with his pace, ability with both feet, and impressive goalscoring stats - 11 goals in 30 games from out wide this season.

Any move would need to be signed off by new boss Louis van Gaal, but he really would be a great signing for United (or Liverpool).
