Manchester United's new signing Anthony Martial made his debut for France and it wasn't a performance to remember.

Martial came on as a substitute with 16 minutes to go but struggled to make an impact on the game. Watch highlights of his contributions below.

United fans shouldn't be too worried. Those who have seen Martial at close quarters have no doubt that he'll come good, with his French teammate Yohan Cabaye convinced that he can become a world class player.

“He is like Thierry Henry. Trust me. He has the same qualities as Thierry," said the Crystal Palace midfielder. "Now, give him the time to prove it you on the pitch.”

Whether Martial will be given time to develop is another matter, having cost Manchester United an astronomical fee that could rise as high as €80m.
