Manchester United are exploring the possibility of swapping Angel Di Maria for Paris Saint-Germain's Brazilian defender Marquinhos, according to Le 1o Sport.
Marquinhos, 21, is one of the most highly rated centre-backs in world football and his potential has no limits. He recently signed a contract extension at PSG, but it's thought that the defender would still be open to a move to the Premier League. The club, however, are reluctant to sell and have already 'politely turned down' Man Utd on two occasions.
Man Utd's new approach is including Di Maria in a deal to bring Marquinhos to Old Trafford. Di Maria has been rumoured to be unhappy throughout the season and despite his recent comments saying he will return to Manchester after the Copa America, he may well be tempted by a move away.
It's unclear whether the deal would be permanent or a loan with an option to buy, but one thing is clear - Man Utd desperatly want Marquinhos.
