Manchester United target Sergio Ramos' mother has come out and said that her son wants to stay at Real Madrid, according to Marca.

Almost every media outlet going has reported that United have bid in the region of £28.6m for Ramos and certain journalists are convinced the Spaniard wants the move.

However, in an interview with a Spanish TV Channel, Ramos' mother claims otherwise...

"Well of course he'd like to stay on at the club. Real Madrid comes before everything else.

She further affirmed her view of the situation when asked if he'd want to leave Spain...

"No, I don't think so. He wants to be in Spain. He is Spanish after all".

Although she wouldn't necessarily be privy to his sons professional desires, her words will dampen an otherwise confident mood amongst the United faithful. If they could strike a deal for the Champions League and World Cup winning defender, it would be a huge coup.
