A former Celtic coach has heaped praise on one of the club's hottest young prospects.
John Gallagher was Celtic's U14 coach and he thinks that the 18-year old attacker Aidan Nesbitt can reach the very top.
"He’s just got such great balance. He’s an entertainer.
“I’m looking forward to Aidan getting that regular run which I’m convinced he’ll get. He wants to be at Celtic and achieve at Celtic and even to get that chance of training with the first team, you want these guys to go and get 200 or 300 games. That to me is a career.
“Aidan’s game is in the final third and that’s where he is exceptional. He’s more of a skilled-type player. I’ve watched Aidan recently when the diary allows it.
“He’s continued to flourish and is a bigger, stronger version of what he was at 14. In youth football they all have different attributes. Some people can be exceptional athletes at 14 and others exceptional talent.
“Aidan had exceptional talent but with full time training and the sports science that’s applied to it he gets further strings to his bow and that has allowed him to be on the fringes of the first team.”
Nesbitt has already made his first-team debut for Celtic this season and looks set to win further opportunities, with Ronny Deila having described him as, "one of the most talented players in Europe."
