Leeds look set to sign the NEC Nijmegen winger Anthony Limbombe after the player was dropped from the Dutch side’s match with Ajax amidst claims that he was not focussed, due to the interest of the Championship giants.
Limbombe is 21-years old and has represented Belgium at U19 level. He plays on the left wing but is also able to operate as a striker.
Starting his career in his homeland with KRC Genk, Limbombe was part of a side that won the league, cup and competed in the Champions League.
The 5ft 9” forward made a move to Holland last summer and helped NEC to promotion to the top flight, scoring 14 goals in 34 games.
Now Limbombe seems bound for England and if they can complete the deal Leeds will be purchasing a player with plenty of experience, despite his tender age.
