Meet The Spanish Winger To Solve Tottenham’s Left-Sided Problems

Mauricio Pochettino likes young, exciting players, who can play in several positions and perform various tactical tasks, right? In that case, he should look no further than Valencia’s 21-year-old start Juan Bernat.

Lightening quick. with the ability to play both as a left-winger and left-back, both positions Tottenham are desperate to fill, this could be the perfect transfer. Depending on how Pochettino rates Soldado too, this could be a welcome route back to his former club in exchange.

Most importantly, it means Tottenham can shift on players that no longer have a future at the club; the likes of Assou-Ekotto, Rose and Naughton will all be welcome departures in the eyes of most of the Spurs faithful.

Bernat won’t come cheaply, but Valencia are still in more financial uncertainty than they would wish to remain in. Tottenham need to hit the right price, and they may just get their man.
