According to reports, Newcastle United are leading the race to sign Newport County's 18 year old star Aaron Collins.
The League 2 prospect has attracted the attention from a number of big clubs, also including Manchester United and Burnley, after a string of impressive performances.
Newport manager Terry Butcher said: "“Aaron is a key player. He’s got two goals now and he’s only played two full matches so he’s made a very good start to his career."
It's understood Burnley have already had an offer rejected for Collins, and with Steve McClaren promised more funds to sign players by Newcastle owner Mike Ashley, a deal seems on the cards.
If a move went ahead, Collins would be the second Newport youngster to make a move to the Premiership this season, with Regan Poole signing for Man Utd in the summer.
