Tottenham have bought extremely well so far this summer, which is a little surprising given their history. Buying players in their early twenties, in positions that needed filling, Pochettino has made his squad that much better in the short time he’s had.
However, their left hand side still remains a problem. With a choice of Nacer Chadli, who’s yet to play at his best for the club, and Andros Townsend, who may not be intelligent enough to flourish under a complex system, Tottenham need to invest.
Top of their list according to the Mirror is Memphis Depay, who’s 20 and tactically adaptable. A good fit for the club, the system and the manager, the only stopping block may be the price, which is floating between £15m-£20m depending on which paper you look at.
