According to The Mirror, Arsenal are contemplating a bid for Barcelona winger Munir El Haddadi. However, Barcelona will be reluctant to part with such a promising youth product, and are reportedly set to offer the Moroccan a contract extension.
Paris Saint Germain and Bayern Munich are also said to be monitoring the situation, so even in the eventuality that Barcelona are receptive to the sale, Arsenal would face stiff competition.
Despite being a left-winger by trade, it's thought that El Haddadi would be employed in an attacking midfield role by Arsene Wenger, drawing obvious comparisons with another Barcelona youth product, Cesc Fabregas. Not even by us, but by literally everyone on the internet - because obviously the easiest way to describe someone is by comparing them to an existing thing ('the new Patrick Vieira' anyone?)
Presumably, El Haddadi would also serve as much-needed cover in the wide areas following Theo Walcott's long-term injury. Just what Wenger needs, then.
The video above might not be the most impressive but it's all that's about of one of the most coveted kids in world football, so make the most of it.
