Poll: Is Psycho The Right Man To Manage Nottingham Forest?
After a great start to the season, Nottingham Forest’s poor recent form continued against Birmingham on Saturday.
A late penalty saw Forest lose 2-1 to halt what had looked like a mini-revival for Stuart Pearce’s side. Forest had won back-to-back games against Norwich and Wolves, but after Saturday’s result they now have only two wins from the last 12 games.
The race for promotion is still wide open, which only serves to make Forest’s slump all the more frustrating. When a team experiences such a poor run of form questions are inevitably asked of the manager and despite Pearce’s legendary status at the club, he is not exempt from such analysis.
There were those that argued that Pearce did not have anything on his CV to suggest that he could take Forest out of the Championship and had only been appointed because of his past at the club. Football history is full of examples of managers returning to their former clubs and failing. While fans are generally more patient with such figures, they will eventually turn on them if things aren’t right.
So is Pearce the right man to take Forest forward or was he a poor appointment in the first place? Vote in our poll below and have your say in the comments.
