Man Utd new boy Antony Martial this week revealed that he turned down Chelsea in order to join Man Utd.

The French striker, often compared to a young Thierry Henry for his pace and prowess in front of goal, was dubbed a 'waste of money' by the British press following his £36m move from Monaco, only to score 4 in his first 7 appearances.

The news will be sickening to Chelsea fans, especially as it has emerged Mourinho was willing to pay more than United, according to French media source CanalPlus. According to reports, it was Martial's boyhood dream of playing for Man Utd which swayed the player's decision.

Martial's Man Utd side head to Everton at the weekend, while Chelsea take on a struggling Aston Villa.
