Eden Hazard has been the jewell in Chelsea's (likely) Premier League crown this season, scoring 13 and assisting 11 in the domestic league alone. He is worshipped by Chelsea fans and admired by everyone else. Even Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane today claimed that Hazard was in the same bracket as Ronaldo and Messi. High praise indeed.
According to the Telegraph, Zidane's club Real Madrid are now eyeing Hazard as a potential replacement for ex-Spurs star Gareth Bale, if he leaves the club this summer. Bale has been heavily linked with Manchester United (and Chelsea) all season and it wouldn't be surprising to see him return to England after the stick he's undeservedly received in Spain.
Hazard would cost too much for anyone else to afford him, so Real are the only contenders. Chelsea fans will be quick to rubbish any links and comfort themselves with the belief that the Belgian's head won't be turned, but when Real come knocking, it's hard to say no.
If Hazard is sold, Chelsea may turn to one of their ex-players. Kevin de Bruyne is said to be open to a return and Wolfsburg will be powerless to prevent him from leaving. The Belgian is enjoying a wonderful season, even better than Hazard's and would cost somewhere between £35-45m.
