Sanchez Prefers Arsenal To Liverpool & Arsene Must Capitalise
Arsenal might actually sign an established, genuinely world-class forward this summer. Seriously.
It's about two years overdue, but they've made a £19.4 million offer to Barcelona for Alexis Sanchez, reports the Metro and the Mail are reporting that the Chilean has said he'd "prefer" a move to Arsenal.
Sanchez tends to play out wide for Barcelona, because they've got a certain Lionel Messi in the middle, but he still managed to score 21 goals last season, and he made 12 assists as well.
He's starred for Chile at the World Cup in a central role, and he could both play with and instead of Olivier Giroud at Arsenal. He's the sort of player that would bring out the best in Mesut Ozil, making dangerous runs in behind with his pace.
Barça are ready to let Sanchez go to make room for Luis Suarez, and Liverpool also want the 25-year-old as a replacement for their star striker.
Sanchez is believed to favour a move to the Gunners, who are ready to offer him a six-year deal worth £130,000-a-week - a nice upgrade on his paltry current salary of £75,000-a-week.
Do Arsenal fans want to see Sanchez at the Emirates next season?
