According to The Mirror, Spurs are eyeing up a potential strike target in the form of Stuttgart forward Timo Werner.
Pochettino knows he must buy goals in the transfer market this summer if Spurs are to be considered serious European contenders next season, but amazingly the 19 year old Werner has only netted three times in 30 appearances for the German club.
Spurs fans have already started to grumble about the manager's lack of ambition in the transfer market, and this is unlikely to appease them in the slightest.
Tottenham are also understood to be in talks with £18m rated Monaco forward Anthony Martial, who has managed 9 goals for the French side.
