Belgium and Liverpool striker Christian Benteke's agent has confirmed that the club have yet to receive any new offers for the striker, despite his wishes to leave the club by the end of the transfer window, according to The Guardian.
Benteke was bought by Brendan Rodgers for £32.5m from Aston Villa last summer, netting nine times in his first season. He has found himself out of favour with new boss Jurgen Klopp however, struggling to get a look in behind the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings and Roberto Firmino.
Liverpool have already rejected a £25m bid from Crystal Palace for the Benteke, and Klopp has been adamant on his stance not to let him go for a cut price. Speaking to The Guardian, the Liverpool manager said: "“If there are clubs that want a striker from us they have to make real offers and are not hoping for anything else, otherwise we will find solutions."
“We will see what happens but at the end if someone wants a player from us he has to pay as we have only good players.”
It's understood Palace remain interested, along with West Ham and Besiktas, but no concrete offers have been put on the table so far.
What do you think Liverpool fans? Is Klopp being too stubborn by hanging on to surplus players? Should Benteke be given another chance?
