"The New Ronaldo" Who Could Save Spur's Season, But Chelsea Want Him Too

For any Premier League sides looking to add a little Catalan magic to their squad, albeit some that heralds originally from Argentina and has taken a detour to Serie A, Inter Milan’s young forward Maruro Icardi could be their man. According to the Daily Express, Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea are interested.

Icardi moved to Barca as a 16-year-old and spent three years scoring prolifically for their youth teams before moving to Italy in search of first team football in January 2011. The 21-year-old joined Sampdoria and impressed in his first full season, scoring ten goals to help his struggling side survive the drop, and earned himself a big move to Inter Milan in the summer.

Inter may not be quite the force they once were on the European and domestic stage but it was still a huge step for Icardi and he has struggled to make an impact at the San Siro thanks to a long standing groin problem. He has still managed to find the back of the net though and there is clearly a lot of potential in the Argentina international that could well be unlocked in England if a side in need of a striker like Spurs were willing to take a gamble on the youngster...
