Chelsea have already had a £20m bid rejected by Everton for John Stones but the word is that they'll be back with more cash and judging by the stats, that seems a good idea.
Stones, 21, had a good breakthrough season at Everton last term and now he's attracted the attention of the country's biggest clubs. In fact, the Barnsley born defender is outdoing the current Chelsea centre-backs. Stones is statistically better than both Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma in almost every department, and his overall rating is even better than veteran John Terry.
If Chelsea were to sign Stones, they'd have one of the most formidable and deep defensive squads in Europe. The question is, how much will they end up spending on him?
