Arsenal's David Ospina still divides opinion amongst Gooners, but his effectiveness since coming into the side is undeniable. Statistics show that Ospina is in fact the best goalkeeper (minimum 10 games) the Premier League has seen.
Ospina was bought from Nice for a small fee of £3.2m. Wenger once again showed an incredible eye for a bargain and snapped up one of the World Cup's best goalkeepers for next to nothing.
The Colombian, whose sister is married to Real Madrid's James Rodriguez, was made to wait for his chance at Arsenal. However, when the opportunity arose following a poor run of games from Wojiech Szczesny, he grabbed it by the scruff and proved himself a more than solid 'keeper.
It is of course arguable that Arsenal's collective improvement with regards to defending and organisation has helped Ospina. This tactical change is likley more the reason that Arsenal have been so much better at the back, but Ospina has done his job well and the stats, despite flattering, don't lie.
