A Liverpool fan who called in to Stan Collymore’s TalkSport radio phone-in show has become a laughing stock after breaking down in tears on air.

The caller, who identified himself as being 41-years old, claimed to be ‘totally broken hearted’ having phoned the show after Liverpool’s 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Stoke.

Choking back tears, the fan - who has an accent which suggests he really should be supporting someone else - asserts that Brendan Rodgers should be sacked and replaced by either Jurgen Klopp or Joachim Loew ‘to make Liverpool the best team England have ever had’.

He then completely loses it and sobs as he talks about Liverpool’s fans, before claiming that Liverpool ‘haven’t had to buy’ their history, despite the fact that he’s actually talking to a former player for whom the club broke the British transfer record in 1995.

This will have you in stitches…
