Twitter Goes Crazy Over Liverpool’s Sterling Being “Too Tired” For England
I don’t want to say that there’s a racist undercurrent to *some* of the criticism Liverpool talisman Raheem Sterling has been getting with regards to his request that he started from the bench versus Estonia but… Y’know.
Still, as with pretty much every news story nowadays, it kicked off on Twitter and we were there, on the frontline, noting it down - like REAL JOURNALISTS:
Hopefully Hodgson will have learned from this "Raheem Sterling is tired" episode and will just lie next time.

Callum Chambers is about a month younger than Raheem Sterling - will he get tired in November?

Regarding Raheem Sterling, It's a well known fact that you can burn out a young talent in football, esp. If you rely on them too much

Give Raheem Sterling soldiers' wages.

But hey if Sterling is tired, maybe Woy should just remind him Theo is back soon so he can get a nap on the bench.

Sterling thing is absolutely ripe for some "Give soldiers footballers wages." Estonia's Artur Pikk plays for them + does military service.

Few young players have matched Sterling's dedication, athleticism, skill & tactical intelligence over past year. Let’s be sensible with him

All this talk of resting players, Sterling, fatigue, Rooney. Look at Spain - never had issues with Xavi, etc. Then they did have Dr Fuentes.

Seems to be a fashionable thing to stick up for Sterling letting his country down. As if football is anything more than a glorified hobby.
