Twitter Reacts To West Ham Slashing Ticket Prices As A Result Of Stadium Move

An example to be followed or a result of taxpayer's money?

Today, West Ham announced that they'd be significantly cutting season ticket prices for the 2016/17 season. West Ham's cheapest adult season ticket that season will cost £289, down from between £620 and £940 for the current campaign.

Good on them, right? Well, yes and no. The 2016/17 season is the first season West Ham will be playing in their new Olympic Stadium and thus have much more reason to cut prices. The Hammers have had to pay a fraction of what they would if they were building a stadium themselves and thus can afford to be generous. The stadium itself was built on taxpayers money for the 2012 Olympic Games.
