Wenger: Dump Arteta & Sign Ghanaian Wonderkid For Arsenal
Fans seem sufficiently frustrated with slightly-melted waxwork Cesc Fabregas-alike Mikel Arteta, with his penchant for pace killing and seeming inability to pass the ball forward.
Step up Parma's 22-year-old Afriyie Acquah and man to whom pace, power and the ability to burst through terrified midfield lines is something standard and who has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates all week (notably by The Mirror, here).
Not since biscuit-legged Abou Diaby have they had a man who could so quicken the pace of their central-midfield and, without wishing to jinx Acquah's legs, he's considerably less injury prone. A cursory check on industry bods Transfermarkt suggests that the young Ghanian has had one injury in the past two years and that only lasted six days.
Eat that, Diaby/Wilshere/the strained Arsenal medical staff.
Worth a punt for £2million (the number estimated by Transfermarkt), right?
