22 year old Argentine Manuel Lanzini has joined West Ham from UAE club Al Jazira on a season-long loan.
Lanzini scored eight in 24 to help Jazira finish second in the Arabian Gulf League last season. Whether he'll be able to transfer that form over to the top flight of European football is up for debate.
The highly-rated Lanzini, who at 5'6 has been compared to Messi, joins a long list of players joining Slaven Bilic's claret and blue army this summer, including Pedro Obiang and Carl Jenkinson.
West Ham have form with talented Argentines, famously bringing Javier Mascherano and Carlos Teves to the Premiership, ensuring the club's Premiership survival that season.
The Hammers have agreed to sell Stewart Downing to Middlesbrough for £5m this week.
