Why Arsene Should Avoid Signing 'Arsenal Fan' Jackson Martinez

Despite being the lone striker at a team wowing audiences and making waves in this World Cup and despite the fact - according to The Mirror, anyway - that he's said he "would say yes" to a move to Arsenal, they should be very wary about making a move.

A powerful, deadly finisher with skill and pace in Portugal, Martinez has been on the radar of every big team on the continent for good reason, with 60 goals in 91 games for Porto, but now his card's been marked. He's looked lazy and laboured, unable to provide the kind of impetuous that Colombia have come to expect from the talismanic Falcao, with his movement being predictable, static and his touch has been poor despite two goals versus a weak Japan.

Basically, he's killing it in a weaker league but for the sums of around £50million that's been bandied about, you've got no chance.
