Manchester United's proposed deal for Barcelona winger Pedro Rodriguez could be off after Neymar is diagnosed with the Mumps, according to the Daily Star.
Barcelona have two Super Cups coming up, one European and one domestic. The fact that they now won't be able to select Neymar or Arda Turan, means that they may well offer a starting place to Pedro. The Spaniard is thought to want first team action and the chance to prove himself as still worthy may tempt him to stay at the Camp Nou.
Some reports suggested Man Utd were due to complete a deal for Pedro by Wednesday, but this new situation has thrown a spanner into the works. What would've been a £20m+ deal and some sort of replacement for Angel Di Maria, now looks in jeopardy.
