How long until we get this on the Tube?

Manspreading is taking over the New York subway.

Described by New York's Metropolitan Transit Authority as a passenger taking up more than one seat when it interferes "with the operation of the Authority's transit system or the comfort of other passengers", photos of #manspreading are frequently shared across social media.

Unbelievably, two men were arrested for the crime on May 22 at 12:11am, according to a report released by the Police Reform Organizing Project in New York. The judge was quick to point out that the train couldn't have been full at the time of arrest.

Blokes have called hypocrisy and countered with a campaign of their own: shebagging.

The question remains: what kind of world do we live in where people people would rather alert the police or post a snide photo to Twitter than ask somebody to move up?
