JCB’s flagship 3CX Eco model is the world’s first digger with an in-cab hot water dispenser to make the perfect brew! The result of JCB having spent over £20m on the design and development of its new range of diggers.
Not that it’s taken them £20m to install a kettle in the cab. The digger also features a cool box, heated front windscreen and power brakes as well as a new EcoDig hydraulic system for the ecologically aware excavator. And if that’s not enough eco-credentials it also comes with JCB EcoRoad options of ‘Smooth Ride System’ and ‘TorqueLock’ which can reduce fuel consumption by up to 25 per cent, so that’s more money saved for teabags and fancy coffee.
Stats fans will love the fact it offers a massive 440 nM of Torque, a bucket volume of 1.3 cubic metres and a lift capacity of 4638
One man who thinks the 3CX will be a hit, is JCB’s Tim Burnhope, who said: “Digger drivers often spend a considerable amount of time in their cabs and the fact that they will now be able to enjoy more cups of tea and coffee is bound to be a real winner!”
So if you’ve a spare $73,000 and you’ve grown tired of conventional off-roaders, and perhaps have a bit of work in the garden to do whilst your at it, why not treat yourself? It’ll be worth it just to turn up at your mate’s house with the offer of ‘a lift’.
