Best known for his futuristic artwork for albums in the '70s and '80s, Shusei Nagaoka is a hero of sci-fi illustration. His instantly recognisable style appeared on LPs for Earth Wind & Fire, Jefferson Airplane, Maze, ELO and Deep Purple among others, becoming the visual representation of the astral sounds many bands were experimenting with at the time.
