The Paradise Garage was arguably the greatest club in dance music history. From the mid '70s until the summer of '87 it rode the ups and downs of New York nightlife, surviving the disco backlash, nurturing new sounds and acting as a melting pot for NY's dancers and creatives. Resident DJ Larry Levan has gained cult status since his death in 1992, and the stories of the live performances and the weekend-long parties are engrained in clubbing history.

This 2-hour long video appeared on Youtube last year documenting the closing few days. Until then only snippets had appeared online; this was the first time the internet had seen it in its entirety.
