Real Madrid Eyeing Summer Swoop For Chelsea Star

Hazard on the move?
Publish date:

Real Madrid have made record breaking moves for Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in recent years, both from Premier League clubs, and they could be set to make another.

Chelsea's creative linchpin Eden Hazard has rightly won plaudits from all corners, and won last season's PFA player of the year award, and is attracting interest from the Spanish giants (The Sunday Times).

Hazard signed for Chelsea back in 2012 for £32 million from Lille after a hotly contested bidding war with title rivals Manchester City and Manchester United. Real Madrid are always on the look-out for their next big money purchase, and with reports circulating about Ronaldo's future possibly lying away from Madrid, Hazard could be a move to a more traditional attacking midfielder as a replacement.

Chelsea face a battle to keep hold of the Belgian amidst Presidents Perez's interest, but much could depend on Mourinho's future at the club.
