To celebrate its 25th birthday, arguably the most iconic house label to come out of the US are releasing a series of tees featuring photos from legendary NYC club the Shelter.
The influence of Strictly Rhythm on house over the years can't be overstated. Since their first 12'' 25 years ago they've released tracks from the likes of Louie Vega, Erick Morillo, Todd Terry, Armand Van Helden and dozens more. Their iconic label artwork is house itself, their tunes adored by everybody from the dancers in the underground clubs to the woman in the car next to you at the traffic lights.
The photos, taken by photojournalist Alice Arnold, capture moments in New York nightlife so perfect you couldn't have staged them any better. Later runs of the tees will also include pictures from Zanzibar and The Sound Factory. There's also a ltd edition CD mixed by DJ T to go with the package. Lovely job.
