Oi Polloi have teamed up with British sportswear stalwart Reebok for a collaboration trainer to be released next week.
The Reebok x Oi Polloi NPC II takes everything that was beautiful about the 1985 tennis OG and transforms it into a premium product for life on the pavement.
Two icons of British style giving birth to something the nation can be proud of. Much better news than when Wills and Kate had another lizard kid and people queued up to see it. Fuck's that all about?
Anyway, to celebrate the release, Oi Polloi got photographer Alex Hulsey (whose stills from Catch Me Daddy show the beauty of the North at its most brutal and uncompromising) to take some pictures in Bolton - home of Reebok, Nat Lofthouse and 'Big Chris' the bouncer at a club I worked at in Kavos (total loon).
As is typical for such collabs the shoe will be made in a very limited run of 300, available from Oi Polloi's Manchester and Soho shops on 7th July at 10am. Don't expect any to be left by the time Loose Women starts.
That the shoe itself is made with love is obvious just from holding it. and the premium materials and attention to detail make the £75 price tag seem very reasonable, in my eyes.
