Gavin Martin began writing as a graffiti artist in Bangor, Northern Ireland in 1976. The following year he began the Fanzine Alternative Ulster, later a song by Stiff Little Fingers. In 1978 he wrote his first article for the NME and joined the paper's staff in 1980. He was worked as Events Organizer at NFT and, among other things, is currently MUsic Critic at The Daily Mirror, Host Of MUsic Spoken Word Event Talking Musical Revolutions and Director Of Communications At Familyofrock.com.
