According to Sky Sports, Paris Saint-Germain had a £20 million bid for Everton and Republic of Ireland full back Seamus Coleman turned down yesterday.

Roberto Martinez is currently facing a battle to keep hold of John Stones, amid Chelsea interest and the player handing in a transfer request, and the Champions League interest in another of his players has been met with a firm rebuttal.

The Daily Star have reported that the Toffees have told PSG that it would take a bid of £50 million to prize the right back away from Goodison Park, with the club keen to keep him, particularly so close to the end of the transfer window.

Coleman joined Everton for just £60,000 and has gone on to become a key part of their line-up, as well as one of the Premier League's most highly rated full-backs. He signed a 5 year deal last year and Everton hold a strong position in terms of any possible deal, and it is unclear whether PSG will return with another bid.
