This is Maria Zarring, a Crimean-born model who’s found herself embroiled in the Russia’s conflict with Ukraine after being voted Russia’s top natural beauty.

Ukrainians claim Zarring was only chosen to poke fun at them over the annex of Crimea, the former Ukrainian district now under Russian control.
