It’s fair to say triple Olympic gymnastics medalist and heartthrob Louis Smith has been on somewhat of a rollercoaster since dusting off the chalk from his sweaty palms at the London 2012 Olympics.The pommel horse star and winner of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing is only just coming to terms with life in the public eye, from being snapped by the paparazzi, finding a mailbox full of freebies and being awarded an MBE by the Queen.

But along with his pretty boy good looks, Smith’s summer of success has established the 23-year-old from Peterborough as a household name in less than 12 months. Topman Generation caught up with up the wannabe designer on the set of our exclusive photo shoot to find out more about his plans for 2013.

Topman Generation: Through your success at the Olympic Games you’ve been thrust into the spot light. What’s been the biggest change you’ve had to cope with as a result? 
Louis Smith: It has been a bit crazy but I felt much more ready for it than I did after my medal in Beijing. Obviously this has been on a different level but I’m enjoying myself. I think the biggest thing has been how much more often I get spotted on the street every time I go out.
