Liverpool: If Suarez Leaves, Could Tevez Be His Replacement?

Fresh from scooping the PFA Player of the Year award last night, speculation is once again hotting up that Liverpool’s Luis Suarez could be starting next campaign away from Anfield.

Just last month, Spanish paper Marca announced that the Uruguayan was almost certain to exit his current club this summer - and with Barcelona facing a transfer ban from next January, they could be tempted to splash the cash on the toothy forward.

But the Catalans will not land their attacking target without a fight. Over in the Spanish capital, their old enemy Real Madrid are also plotting a move for the star, and already it appears that this transfer struggle could go on…and on…and on.

If Suarez decides against a move abroad, there are clubs in the Premier League desperate for his signature, namely Man City and Arsenal, but whether Liverpool would allow their prized asset to move to a rival is another story.

But it’s not all bad for Reds fans. The Express reports that, should Suarez sling his hook, Rodgers has already identified a potential replacement in Juventus’ striker Carlos Tevez.

The Argentinian has already proved himself in England following spells with West Ham, Man United and Man City, and would surely bag goals in Liverpool’s free-flowing and direct system.

Whether Reds fans would be satisfied swapping one wantaway South American for another, remains to be seen.

A petulant 30 year old who has stated that he hated his time in England? Yeah, I'm sure Brendan would want him and, let's be honest, FSG would never countenance the move in the unlikely event that he did. Him coming in on a free *as well* as Suarez? Still not likely, but more plausible at least. (Also, drawing from Marca as a source is like an admission of stupidity - you're better than that, SB.)

simple realy just table a bid. if its real madrid then make it 90mil plus Ronaldo and he"s yours. as for barca,a bid of around 100mil throw in messi and the player is yours.

Haha, his knowhere near as talented as Ronaldo or Messi, to suggest a 100mil + the two players is ridiculous

I think the days of us spending £20+ Million on a 30 year old are well and truly behind us.
